Tensile Test

Cogent Analysis provides a wide array of tensile testing services. Our mechanical testing department utilizes diverse techniques and equipment to assess the tensile properties of materials used in product designs, ensuring they meet the necessary specifications.
The tensile testing lab has uniaxial machines with maximum force capacity of 22000lbs.
Cogent Analysis conducts tensile tests to the following standards:

  • Standard Test Methods for Tension Testing Wrought and Cast Aluminum- and Magnesium-Alloy Products — ASTM B557
  • Standard Test Method for Flatwise Tensile Strength of Sandwich Constructions — ASTM C297/C297M
  • Standard Test Method for Tensile Properties of Polymer Matrix Composite Materials — ASTM D3039/D3039M
  • Standard Test Methods for Tension Testing of Metallic Materials — ASTM E8/E8M
  • Metallic Materials — Tensile Testing — Part 1: Room Temperature — ISO 6892-1
  • Metallic Materials — Tensile Testing — Part 2: Elevated Temperature — ISO 6892-2
  • Fastener Pull-Through Strength Test Method — MIL-STD-1312-8
  • Fastener Test Methods, Tensile Strength — NASM 1312-8
